fit

fit is a console based program that can be used for fitting peak functions (Lorentz, Doniach-Sunjic). It is designed to be used by physicists concerned with XPS (X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy) measurements. As it can be run from scripts, it is useful for fitting multiple files from similar compounds measurements. It can be easily modified to use in other fields of spectroscopy.
